From Alpha Unmanned Systems we want to share with you all the latest news that have arisen during the last few weeks after the publication in several media of the recent delivery of one of our gasoline powered helicopter drones as a gift from the Minister of Agriculture of Israel, Uri Ariel, to the Russian Prime Minister, Dmitri Medvedev.

Alpha Unmanned Systems got an Experimental Airworthiness Certificate for it´s SNIPER Unmanned helicopter. This certificate issued by the INTA is a great achievement for the company, as demonstrates the maturity of the system and allow us to fly in the context of the RAPAZ Project.

The flights to be performed will be done in segregated airspace but the main difference is that instead flying always below 120 meters high and distances from the GCS of 4 KM.

Alpha and the RAPAZ Project

ALPHA was invited to participate in the RAPAZ project in early 2015, the aim of the project, organized by the Spanish Army, was to evaluate the maturity and agencies of the army, to finally promote a centralized acquisition of the systems that demonstrated its maturity.

After requesting a Experimental Airworthiness Certificate, the flights took place in November and ALPHA was the only company flying a helicopter.
The tests included diferent flight plans execution, changing parameters during the flight, detecting simulated objectives anding autonomously.

ALPHA´s team is looking forward for the next step of this project.
