Custom payloads integration are subjected to three major constrains: weight, volume and power consumption. In the ALPHA 800 the maximum values that we can accept for a successful integration are:
Weight: 3 Kg
Volume (aprox): 5500 cm3
The major differences are: endurance, autonomy, range and resistance to adverse weather conditions. The ALPHA 800 helicopter outlasts, flies further and performs better in rougher weather conditions than any Quadcopter we are aware of.
Rotary wing UAVs are mechanically more complex than fixed wing UAVs. The ALPHA 800 helicopter has significant advantages: vertical take-off and landing (VTOL) capabilities and hovering. These attributes, unique to helicopters, enable faster and easier deployment and eliminate runway requirements. The ALPHA 800 helicopter platform is perfect for surveillance and observation.
The ALPHA 800 is a simple but robust and reliable platform with several built-in safety features which makes it easy and safe to operate and control. Also the ALPHA 800 flight control unit has several functionalities such us speed limitations, flight time and batteries level alarms or communications quality indicator, among others, ensure a safe operation.
The ALPHA 800 complete system is a ready to fly solution that includes two ALPHA 800 UAVs with day and night payloads, one ground control station, transport boxes and ground support equipment as well as training and manuals for the operation and maintenance of the complete system.
